James discovered his passion for helping others early on and as a result, found his calling in chiropractic care. Considering it an incredible science that empowers him to make a positive impact on people’s lives. His journey began with a deep-rooted desire to contribute to the well-being of individuals, and chiropractic emerged as the perfect avenue for him to fulfil this aspiration.

James is passionate about all aspects of health, and has a special interest in neuromuscular rehabilitation, treating sporting injuries and musculoskeletal disorders.

Coming from a sporting background, Dr. Portelli recognised the diverse needs of individuals, each requiring tailored treatments to address their unique circumstances. As a result, this realisation fuelled his determination to expand his knowledge and skill set in chiropractic care.

To enhance his ability to provide comprehensive care to his patients, he pursued additional courses in various techniques and methodologies.

Dr James Portelli – Doctor of Chiropractic at Spineline in Essendon grew up locally attending Our Lady of the Nativity  Primary School and St. Bernards College Essendon. He has a heavily influenced sports background playing hockey at state championship levels. He also enjoys playing golf, reading and spending time with family and friends.
